Pros

Very employee centric Lots of development opportunities, if you get time! Exciting times with the Global Agenda Strong total reward (salary, benefits and bonus)

Cons

Need to be more mindful of communication from CM, core messages can be lost in the downward cascade. Face needs to fit if you want progress Diversity, what exactly is the strategy, promoting employees into senior roles when they are not ready to meet targets. Some employees are allowed to get away with very poor behaviour

Pros

Our mission - to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow. Seeing kids walking into the store being amazed with all the sculptures made out of LEGO bricks is fantastic and rewarding. Flexible hours. High standards for customer service.

Cons

Mainly the same problem in all retail locations - the resellers trying to buy in bulk and con-people trying to work the system. SAP system needs to improve drastically.

Pros

-Usually a positive, family-friendly atmosphere while working -It was easy to request off, though this varies from store to store -50% off discount on all items was nice -Some great co-workers, very passionate about LEGO and usually creative

Cons

-2 mystery shops a month gets annoying, too much pressure on them and NPS surveys -It's a small store, most customers don't want to be bothered yet we had to talk to every last person as if our store was the size of a Home Depot -Communication from corporate was bad. We were just as confused as customers were when it came to the status of a product, whether it was retired or not, whether we would be receiving more or not -Instructions for in-store display were very poorly worded and confusing -Corporate communication overall just seemed sloppy and unorganized -Not really any pay raises unless you get promoted to supervisor or manager
