"Not a good plan. You get 1k paid to your HSA, but the deductible is 2k, so you have to add to your fsa to cover. And the out of pocket is 7k before care is "free." DTA."

"GE offers it but there is simply no way to take it. The workload will not permit. GE will take over your life 100% or you will simply not be able to perform to expectations."

Fair time off - 3 weeks starting which increases with tenure in the company. Lots of options to choose from with 401k and includes company match

The world is catching up to GE's benefits. Healthcare, in particular, has gone from excellent to average in the past few years. New hires after 2012 do not receive a pension and retirees after 12/31/2014 will not receive medical benefits.
Work-from-home policy varies greatly between departments and individual managers.
Pluses include massive discounts on GE appliances, great rates in home and auto insurance, and GE discounts on everything from mobile phone plans to theme park tickets.

Love the benefits at GE, but I do know that they are different/scaled back for newer hires and retirees. So some employees are grandfathered in with certain benefits that are no longer available or a certain benefit may just not be offered any more to new retirees.

The best is that employees hired before Jan 2011 were able to get a pension plan. Also, you're 100% vested in 401K on day 1 of employment with 4% company match
The worst is the health insurance. It is expensive and pays nothing until you hit your $2000 deductible: and that's the best plan.

This is a great place to work. Offer several benefits such us 401, Healthplan, Employee discount, Vacation, Telecommuting, Training, family work balance information, etc.

Obviously there are no benefits for interns. However, we did travel to different cities throughout the summer.
