I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Lincoln, England) in Sep 2016
Interview
Long online application with several questions that needed detailed answers.
Got a reply within two/three weeks via email inviting me for a one to one interview. The interview was with the area manager. I then got a reply later on that day via email that I had passed the interview process and was invited to the work trial. Went to the work trial which was basically putting out stock. Guess I didn't do it well or quickly enough because I got an email afterwards saying I wasn't successful.
Group Assessment: I was called in for a group assessment. There were 2 other people interviewing with me there. Another girl and I were assessed about a store assistant role, and the other guy was assessed for another position. We were asked to introduce ourselves, talk about our experience, and why we wanna work for Aldi. We were then asked to prioritise some tasks as group, and explain our choices. There is no wright or wrong in this one, you just have to be able to explain the choice. Finally we were given a simple math quiz to evaluate our skills, however none of us had the time to finish it. The deputy manager said that we would soon get an email to either invite us for a store assessment, or to let us know that we were unsuccessful. I am just waiting to see what happens.
