I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aurecon (Bloemfontein) in Jul 2011
Interview
Job was referred to me by an employee and I contacted the office manager about the relevant job offer. I was asked to apply for the job on the company website and provide relevant supporting documentation. From date of submittal of job application, the company responded very quickly to arrange for an interview. An interview was arranged and the interview was held in the company's boardroom, with 3 company personnel present (Office Manger, Technical Director - Electrical, HR Manager). Interview was very informal and more about personal attributes and achievements.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Background of work experience;
Future prospects and goals;
Willingness and compatibility to work in groups;
What attributes will I be bringing to the company to strengthen their technical abilities and their client relations
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Aurecon (Brisbane) in Oct 2011
Interview
Phone interview followed by in person interview when my manager was visiting my town. It was simple, friendly and relatively informal. His family were also there as they were on vacation at the time. Never met anyone else from the firm before getting an offer. Only had communication with the HR department (very nice) and my soon to be boss.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aurecon (Sydney) in Apr 2010
Interview
Interview was ok. Not very difficult and was more of a conversation. The HR person asked very standard questions with no imagination or testing questions. The engineer was very matter of fact....his approach made me think he was not the person that I would be working for. I asked questions about the company and what it stood for and it seemed to be a very good company at the interview with great aspirations.
