I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Discover
Interview
The interview process is very worse. Had an interview with tech lead. He did not even open his camera (did not even apologize) and asked me to keep the camera. He asked me things not mentioned in the service. Specifically related to configurations on services such as Java, AWS. It felt like school exam.....besides he asked me to open screen share and open my local ide and run a program. I would please request Discover folks to spend some money on Hackensack or coderpad subscription. The tech lead was muting himself with off camera. His speech was not clear. I had a very bad experience. Would never recommend unless you don't have any other option.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are new things in java 8, asked in detail about some of the concepts. Asked about AWS S3 configuration. Idk what are they even interviewing for. Please hire a sophomore student, they will be upto your expectations where you don't ask any logic and ask all theoretical questions.
So many rounds of interview : positive reviews during interview , they gave all hope like their almost hired but ghosted and no reply or feedback after that . It was shocking
The process was quick and fast, the first round was behavioural screenning, then there was super day with 4 back to back interview. 3 behavioural and only 1 technical asking about sql and python
