Interview
I had 2 rounds of interviews, first from the HR, second with the direct manager.
The HR interview was fairly routine, nothing out of the ordinary - standard questions about my job history, education, skills, why I was interested in Expedia, what I could offer, etc. The only thing that I felt uncomfortable about was the focus on the prestige of my university and the brand of my previous company. It came off as a bit shallow and I wish they cared less about these things given that I wasn't a fresh graduate, and focused more on my actual qualifications and skills. The 2nd interview with the direct manager was quite tough - a lot of questions specific to the industry and she also asked me several scenario questions to see how I would approach and resolve the problem.

6-7 rounds, the phone screen is important since if they don't believe you are in the range, I got the feeling you would be up-leveled to another senior role if available, or the process would end there
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2018
Interview
I received a response within a week of applying for the role inviting me to do a telephone interview. The telephone interview was a pleasant experience in which I was asked about my experience and general questions relating to the role description. I was then told at the end of the call that I would be forwarded to do a face-to-face interview in the Expedia Ireland office. I was allowed the opportunity to select a suitable time. The interview was fairly standard with an emphasis towards competency based questions. At the end of the interview I felt happy with how it had gone and was told that I should hear by the end of that week. When I hadn't heard anything after a week, I emailed the recruiter asking if there was anything else they needed etc. I was informed that the process would now take a little longer as they were interviewing internal candidates. Three weeks passed and I still have not received any feedback or even a rejection from Expedia. I feel very disappointed that they would treat a candidate this way, after taking the time to prepare for the interview and then taking the time off work to attend. It has been a very negative experience and I would suggest to others not to bother applying for a job with this company.
