I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google
Interview
The Recruiter reached out as first phone interview. Then Japan based PM hiring committee acknowledge skills and experience but decided not to go forward. Seems like accessing google Tokyo jobs seems to be mission impossible.. Not so cool not even given the qualified candidate a chance to even get a formal interview.
Phone interview with recruiter - they called me, I didn't apply. Was initial phone screening / fact finding. They treated me like I wanted to work there when it was them who came to me.

Education - they were very hung up on degree even though it was 10 years ago.
A recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin for months and before I finally agreed to interview. During the interview process the recruiter was very late and when she finally joined she dropped unexpectedly 5 minutes into the interview and didn't rejoin or attempt to reach out to me. What a joke and a waste of time.
