OA is progressive filesystem - the first 2 levels are quite simple, then you have to sort and retrieve the top k users based off some criteria like frequency or money spent. Level 4 was a backup function. Behavioral asks questions like “tell me about a time you gave feedback” and “tell me a time you helped others”

Do you have experience working with people from different backgrounds
I applied online. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA) in Sep 2025
Interview
The first step was the Online Assessment, then it was a behavioral interview with the HR (30 mins). It was a basic get to know call with some questions like why hubspot, tell me about a time when questions. Go through the values of the company and try to make your answers it in a STAR format. Next round was an on-site consisting of 2 rounds. One was System design (netflix obviously) and the next one was a coding HTTP round. The HTTP one was similar to the API OAs that were previously used by HubSpot but easier than that. The bar is really high if you make even 1 mistake in sys design you're out.
