HubSpot Staff Writer interview questions

I've had terrible experiences interviewing at HubSpot. Here's the story: I'm a HubSpot Alum with an extensive marketing and writing background. A recruiter reached out to me to discuss an upcoming opportunity and I was interested in re-joining the company. I was intro'd directly to the hiring manager, and highly recommended by other former HubSpot alumni. I had a few great phone conversations and the recruiter told me I'd be advancing in the process and she'd have next steps within the next few days. Then she goes dark for one week and says she's having trouble scheduling my next interview and to hold tight. I sit tight. 1-2 weeks later I get an email saying they have decided not to move me forward. I used to work at HubSpot, wrote for their blog, and have amassed a strong writing portfolio and I didn't even get called in for a face-to-face after being told that I would be??? AND I'm a HubSpot customer. I've never felt so disrespected as marketer and former HubSpotter. I will never entertain the possibility of going back. Many people warned me that going back to HubSpot would be dangerous because the marketing team is so political. And now I understand why. Hey HubSpot, you're an awesome company with a powerful brand, but show more respect to your alumni who have gone on to accomplish great things - don't take them for a ride - and they're worth at least bringing in for a face-to-face chat.
