I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement in Jan 2010
Interview
When I finally got to the last of the interviews with the store manager, he point blank said "I'd rather be anywhere else besides sitting here interviewing you". It came across loud and clear that this store manager lacked the very people skills that he was supposed to be interviewing for. The human resource group was very un-organized, not even keeping up with the scheduled appointments. Just a total lack of no communication between the whole hiring proces!

Question 1
How would you address a customer looking for something specific?
I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Zephyrhills, FL)
Interview
Rather easy interview process. There were only a handful of questions that were pretty standard for a retail position. When the interview was scheduled, I was told it was one person, but ended up being another person conducting the interview, which wasn't a big deal, but when you go in to the place it's nice to ask for the correct person.

Question 1
When was a time that you've gone above and beyond for a customer?
It was Easy and I was able to get the job done. It was a good experience and I had a great time. Questions asked were about my experience with home improvement.
Pretty easy interview. Basic questions about work history. What experience you have pertaining to the role. A few scenario questions about customer interaction and teamwork. Pretty much show confidence you can handle the job.
