I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Microsoft (Hyderabad) in Jun 2017
Interview
Was well coordinated. Was a 4 stage Interview - with elimination at each round if one messed up. Didn't make it past the first round. Personally, i thought i deserved another round.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
1. A little bit about your work with focus on Product roles. And any achievements.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Dec 2015
Interview
I had two pre-screen phone interviews with the recruiters. After that I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager had me create a technical assessment and submit it before I was approved for an in-person interview. Microsoft arranged the travel and hotel. They tell you to dress like you normally do.
The in-person interviews took about 6.5 hours. I met with 5 people. Any interviewer can reject you in the process and your interview chain will stop.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (New York, NY) in Jun 2016
Interview
The hiring process was based on a lot of networking. A friend at Microsoft that I've worked with recommended me in, and a couple others endorsed me. I was contacted the next day. In total, I had an HR screen interview, three tech screen interviews packed into three hours one evening, and a hiring manager interview. All by Skype. It was actually enjoyable. They ran like conversations. Everyone was reasonable, calm and mature. The process flew by in about three weeks.
