I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Santiago) in Jan 2018
Interview
Basically they call you to have a informal review of your soft skills, I had two calls with different people (both non technical) the last one informed me that I will have a third phone interview, but this never happened.
What it is important to note is they provide to you a list with the question that you will have to respond previously to the call.

Question 1
Very standard, talk about your experience?, mention a difficult situation that you faced and how did you solve it? etc.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Bengaluru) in Oct 2018
Interview
The entire interview process was extremely professional. I have never had a more positive interview experience and would still state the same even if I had not got a job offer. I had applied for this job online and received a call from the recruiter in a couple of weeks.
The 1st round was a Skype interview scheduled for an hour. The interviewer was very cordial and wanted me to succeed throughout the call. It was a conversation rather than an "I ask, You Answer" approach. This was in-fact true across all rounds. The 2nd round was a Skype interview as well with a business leader. It was for 30 minutes but I gained a lot of insights on how the company worked.
The 3rd round was a day long case study round with presentations and deliverables at end of it. It happened at the office premises. It was almost like a pre-cursor to "a day in your life should you join". I throughly enjoyed the approach even though it was intensive and very demanding with tight deadlines.
The 4th round was a face to face interview with a senior leader. It went for an hour. It was a conversation about my experience, technical, behavioural and leadership skills. I got a sense of how the interviewer wanted to make sure that I can fit in well with the work culture at Microsoft.
The 5th and final round was with the hiring manager. It was a 45 minute Skype call. I got a fair idea about job expectations, growth opportunities, challenges and immediate focus areas for this role.It was a very informative discussion.
I received the news about the job offer in a couple of days. The package was good and I did not have a need to negotiate.
Overall, the process was very smooth starting with the recruiter making sure that interviews were being scheduled at mutually convenient times. Kudos to the recruitment team at Microsoft! This process was an eye opener to me and helped me understand the diligence and thought process Microsoft has put behind their recruitment process. Fantastic!

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you failed as a project manager and what could you have done different?
Standard interview process - HR screening followed by 3 in person loop. They were nice to me but heavily focused in learning more about my current projects at hand given that I worked for this team earlier. it was more focused on my previous work on the same team.
