Interview
I had to fill in the general NHS job application. Employment history, personal statement, etc. After the application I got interview date within 1 week. Once arrived at the interview I was shown around the lab, I noticed that the person showing me around was making notes such as: friendly, asks relevant questions (remember that if you are shown around the lab it is already part of your interview.) It was panel interview, chief biomedical scientist and senior biomedical scientist. They were both asking questions but interview didn't feel very formal. Made me feel relaxed so that was nice

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NHS (London, England) in Oct 2015
Interview
Basic information required. No need for CV as you can apply online through their template. Interview is easy for entry level vacancies but if you wish to apply for a higher position it is who you know NOT what you know! No flexibility - they don't interview you through Skype or other means. Be there strictly on time to be considered. You will only know the full benefits package once you are offered the job which makes it difficult to make decisions whether it's worth the move of sticking to your old job. They don't give you much time to consider the offer - they want you to resign asap from your present post so they can start using you. Lack of shadowing - they expect you to be a pro as soon as you start your job.
