Very efficient and pleasant atmosphere. I felt quite positive and confident that I'd done well but sadly got a phone call the same day to say I didn't get it. Despite interviewing well it was given to an internal applicant. Can't compete really and slightly cruel they put external applicants through this process if they haven't advertised internally first. I spent days on the application and prepping for interview and would like to see the NHS HR team have the same customer service skills they demand of applicants!

A very highly structured panel interview three people. all have different structure of questions to answer. They are all from different roles with in the department you are applying for.

they ranged from how would you deal with an upset patient to an annoyed patient and answering telephone ie how long can you let the phone ring whilst dealing with a patient face to face. also the private and confidential question is a key to getting the role you have to understand how and why they do this.

thorough and in depth, I was taken through the process gently and professionally at all times, it took a while but I got the position and the team are great
