SAIC interview questions

I am the incumbant on a contract SAIC won recently, beating out my current company. The company representative called all the incumbants to offer them their current job. We played tag between phones before finally I managed to get a hold of him on a lunch break. We spoke very briefly before he basically threw out everything I had said and gave me a hard-nosed offer of what the company was expecting to pay for my position. It was completely unacceptable so I told him I would speak with my family and let him know. I e-mailed him a counter offer and over the weekend he got back with me with a negative response stating that it was the government's fault it was that price. A completely BS statement of course since in their proposal they stated their prices for each position and given that they previously held the contract was well aware what each position was making.
