Average interview process. Contacted via email by store manager and had a phone conversation before coming in for an in person interview. Coffee tasting during interview was a fun way to answer questions and get to know more about the local store
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Starbucks (Overland Park, KS) in May 2022
Interview
It was a casual conversation with the manager. They asked typical questions about why i wanted the role and things like what is a time you make a mistake and what did you learn, I think they mainly wanted to hear that you are a people person who enjoys brighten people's days.
The Starbucks interview process was pretty straightforward overall. It usually starts with a quick greeting, a few simple questions about customer service and teamwork, and a short chat about why you want to work there. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the whole thing feels more like a friendly conversation than a formal interview. They often offer you a free drink while you’re there after the interview.
