Sun Life Director interview questions

Three interviews- Recruiter, Hiring Manager and SVP. Initial contact was with the hiring manager through a mutual friend. Phone interview with the recruiter was fairly standard and follow on interview with the hiring manager and SVP was general discussions around background and extent of exprience within the field.

After applying online, I was contact 2 weeks later to arrange a phone interview with their recruitment team. I had the call and was told that someone should be back in touch with me the next week. I didn't hear back for a couple of weeks (first red flag). I was then scheduled for an an in-person interview with the hiring manager. After the interview, I was told that someone would be in touch within 2 weeks to advise on next steps. After 3 weeks, I haven't received any follow up even though I've reached out directly to the recruitment team (2nd red flag). Very disappointed with my experience so far. I'm not sure why these lengthly, black-hole recruiting practices still exist. I don't mind investing my time for the right opportunity, but treat me with respect. Companies lose out on great talent when the hiring process takes months.
