I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Las Vegas, NV) in Jun 2012
Interview
The interview was at 12 am and there were multiple people aheahd of me.. anyways I ended up waiting almost 2 hours and it would of been longer but the hiring manage got my papers mixed up and I went before someone else who has been waiting longer then me. I went into the interview room and the first thing the hr asked me is to tell him about myself. I started explaining to him my job experience the kind of personality I had and what kind of worker I was. We went on to talking about more in detail about my work experience, why i quit certain jobs, why i was laid off of certain jobs, my goals, who i am as a person and i had to convince him why i should be hired. There were no situational questions just basic general questions. I still feel it was hard because every person that went in before me didn't get the job, and every one was telling me how intimidating and straight up this guy and will tell you want he thinks about you as a person and if you will be good for the job or not. I guess the dude really liked what i had to say and hired me out of everyone else.

I Applied online, the next day a hiring manager called me. I applied to push carts, but the hiring manager offered me a temporary job as an over night stocker. He called me on a Saturday and asked me to call him back on Monday. I called him, but he was busy and said he would call me back. Later that night he called me. We talked a little bit about working over night and the hours, then we scheduled an interview date. Interview was basic customer service questions.

Interview
I applied in May, my resume stayed on file apparently and I had forgotten about it. Got a call to come in within a couple hours in July. Interview was with the hr manager, and a couple assistant mgrs. Asked a lot about what your previous work experience was, such as dealing with customers, cash handling, etc. Interviewers were very positive. Good overall interview experience for me and I got the job. Probably a 20 minute interview, then job offer that you complete. Then you have to take a drug test.
