Had a 10min HR call and was asked three general questions, then I got a rejection email next week. Nothing related to the position. No HR can judge a candidate with three general fit questions - Introduce yourself, strengths & weakness, Long-term & short-term goals.
That's the bottom line.
Until & unless a candidate talks to the hiring manager and his competencies are tested related to the position, the HR can't reject.

The interview went along smooth, both with the HR representative and manager. The first interview was over the phone whilst the second was 1 to 1. Interview was relaxed with not much pressure.
