Once you know how to implement on store level and have understanding of Retailer Iniative. You can get another opportunity better salary in no time with another retailer. If you have military background you can go far with company. Will have flexibility with schedule to maintain quality of life. Great learning environment. Good people to work with it.

Cons

No growth in local area have to relocate to Dallas. Meetings are a waste of time. Company focus constantly changing Operations is backbone of company but those that run the company have no experience in operations so there is a disconnect with the field. Lack of diversity in leaderhip. Elimination of 401k matching Reduced bonus structure

Pros

A potential opportunity to serve an individual or newly graduated college student, an introduction "corporate america" and the convenience store and/or retail industry.

Cons

- Poor companywide communication, internally and externally, for operational efficiencies and financial growth. - Uppper management's choice to toleratingabusive and hostile internal managment behaviors, preventing long term employee growth and a team environment. - Effective management courses and/or "retreats" not offered to balance internal technical skill sets and personal skill sets for a valued professional atmosphere and work life balance. - Upper management and HR's choice to ignoring and/or dismissing observed questionable management behavior such as lack of effective leadership. - Failure to acknowledging employee "wins", rather offering consistent critism due to personal favoritism.

Pros

If you get a good direct report, this can be a good company to work for.

Cons

Most middle management is poor and the 'good old boys' network is strong. So you end up with leaders that promote on who been there the longest and kisses the butt the best, not who has talent or skills. The middle management is nothing more than a bunch of re-treads that they move from one position to another to keep from having to fire them for poor performance. They only way to advance is to goto West Point, then you get a golden ticket to the top, even if you have no experience, leadership or people skills. This is who you will be working for, a stuffed shirt who think he know everything because he drove a tank with little gold bar on his shirt in the desert, that talks down to you all day and constantly reminds you that you did not go to West Point and will not be as good as him. Great place to get experience, but do not count on it for a career, because they reserve those for flunkies and West Point Grads.
