Bad leadership pushing good, tenured people out

Pros

Made some great friends over the years.

Cons

Lack of support from leadership. Inconsistent guidelines across teams for the same department. People are hand chosen for an open job req, usually before it is posted for candidates to apply. There is no true room for growth opportunities as a result.

Pros

-Amazing colleagues -decent pay although a bit under industry standards

Cons

-Typical office politics, especially with PMs telling you one thing but tells your manager/higher ups differently. Cover Your A… culture. -Low PTO days -Overworked, underpaid. All received about a 1.5% raise last year. -Learn by fire, instead of a well structured training. -Long commutes for many as the Atlanta office is in Alpharetta (nobody but upper management lives out that way) -Mandatory 3 days/week. -No Holiday parties, limited in office events due to heavy workloads

High Turnover

Business Outlook

Pros

The organization pays their leaders well.

Cons

Where do I start? High turnover. The front line associates could use a salary increase to improve attrition for our area. They took "working lean" to a whole new level. Too much work, very little assistance. We operated as a start up. The benefits aren't great. Toxic environment in some departments. Executive leadership struggled with maintaining a consistent messaging to employees. A lot of "busy work" to appease directors - that they did nothing with. Some executives were not held to the same standard as others - they got away with a lot at the expense of their very dedicated employees. Oh, and an inclusive company? It looks great on paper. They decided to add the hybrid, mandatory 3 days a week in the office rule into the attendance policy and forced leaders to police it - literally pulled badges.
