Pros

Career advancement, however this is due to high turn over rate, people change positions constantly to not deal with the bs.

Cons

The WORST job I've ever had, i almost died due to severe stress , they are in to make money and that is about it, management is a puppet of the directors, directors do not care for their employees, i started in employment tax the worst department . Management is tone deaf they are aware of how horrible is the stress yet the directors do not care if the account managers are struggling. Training is horrible to the point you don't learn anything and its basicly your job to. figure it out on your own. I had various meltdowns due to severe stress and depression this job caused me for over a year. They have horrible turn over rate people quit in months again due to severe stress , they make a lot of money and refuse to increase salary, if you start as an account manager know that they severely under pay you that job is easily a 50k job but they are ok paying 21$ , those 21$ per hour are not worth your life. Every department is just as bad the only pro is that there is a lot of career advancement however this is due to high turn over rate everyone quits as soon as they see how stressful and the amount of work just don't match the pay. Healthcare is super expensive the plan is old however they make so much money offering mediocre plan that they wont save it ADP is in for the money nothing else they do not care about employee work life balance and they do not care about their people. They even suck at employee engagement.

Pros

2 days per week at home, decent PTO, everyone is young, company outings

Cons

Really not much good to say. The title “district manager” is very misleading as it is just a name to sell the job. You are far from managing anything. You will spend all day, every day, cold calling ADP clients who have already had 10 reps reach out and try to sell them the same product over the past year. Favoritism is huge and if you are not performing well you’ll be a black sheep. You are only as valuable as the amount of sales you make, period. You will likely be given a mentor early on which is really just a feeder system to give tenured reps warm leads and then split commission. Lack of privacy in office. People everywhere, can hardly hear yourself think let alone speak to clients. Lack of digital privacy as well as all of your activity is tracked. You will be pushed to make more calls, more emails and do anything to get the sale. There is very little room for promotion or upward mobility besides becoming a sales “executive” which are just those who have stuck it out for several years and performed well and now have a team of reps. The unfortunate reality is many of these small business owners do not know what they’re purchasing and most do not want to speak to you nor care about labor law posters or state mandates in their handbook. Shady tactics often used by scaring them with risk of an “audit”.

Pros

The talent is there. My immediate coworkers are phenomenal. Benefits are well.

Cons

- why am I doing the work of an accountant? - no support across-the-board. Other departments direct all issues to you (this position). - management is more concerned on call volume , with no regards to the other work related duties you're responsible for. - No room for growth! Picture yourself thriving, being rewarded for your work & when you mention other internal opportunities, you suddenly need improvement in various areas. - The raises received over the years are just disrespectful. All in all, it's a glorified call center.
