One of the few choices if one is interested in working for a Canadian company within the asset management industry.

Cons

Incompetent management, extremely questionable promotion practices (not based even loosely so on merit), very much a culture of every person for him/her self. Bleeding assets.

Relaxed work atmosphere. No undue pressure. Work autonomy. Not overly structured. No extensive paperwork or red tape. Minimal office politics.

Cons

New ideas sometimes hard to propagate. Communication and understanding between the business and IT not always on a desired level. Performance appraisal process leaves much to be desired.
