Pros

Some of the most breaking edge technology is needed to meet the sub-nanometer error budgets of ASML machines. I honestly get excited working here. The work is challenging and heavily based on commercializing new technology into complex projects that perform better than any competing product.

Cons

Wilton has a stubborn and dated culture and attitude. This is a con to having so many experienced engineers in one building. Management is working on bringing a younger and more dynamic feel to the Wilton office. The Dutch headquarters has a much younger and more collaborative culture.

Pros

Good pay & benefits. Shift work is kind of nice. You get spoiled with long weekends.

Cons

Manpower shortage. No one to cover shifts. Few opportunities for advancement or training. If you don't at a main office site you're pretty much forgotten. If you're looking for a career get an engineering degree. Service engineers have very little chance for advancement. Managers will say anything to keep you happy.

Pros

You might end up in a very challenging assignment with competent and nice people around you. You might wait or change group before that happen. It is worth a try.

Cons

Too big, too confused. No role clarity. Poor knowledge transfer. Too single-project oriented: degrading quality, lost of overall picture, few possibility of exploring new ways. Poor integration spirit of the company, not a strong identity.
