Pros

Exposure to a multitude of opportunities that otherwise would not be possible at a smaller firm. In addition, the availability of and opportunities for training are far beyond what I have seen at other companies.

Cons

I will go with the usual answers here: Compensation, especially for anyone below senior executive level (as well as the newer senior executives) is absolutely NOT aligned with where it should be. It is slightly below average, and for a company this large and successful that is unacceptable. Accenture is to going to continue to see high attrition rates and a thinning of a lot of good talent as time goes by. Hours can be long and tedious and in comparison to compensation, what I have to give up (time with my family) is not well balanced. Most managers however are receptive to this feed back but due to poorly / under-sold projects, there isn't much they can do since we are committed to delivering X2 and there is only 1 person (where X is the normal workload per person).

Pros

I've been with Accenture for more than 14 years. I have been able to adjust my roles and time commitments to allow me to meet my personal needs as they have evolved over the years. Accenture has been a great training ground and I work with highly motivated, smart people. Accenture has returned to me what I have given it. My hard work and dedication have been rewarded through flexibility, compensation and personal recognition. The rewards did not always come as quickly as I wanted, but they have come through.

Cons

Expectations are very high. If you're not smart and hard working, do not apply. Accenture is a place that expects you to be able to help yourself. There's not a lot of handholding... you can get help, but you have to ask. No one is going to spoon feed you.
