Pros

Well respected insurance company with a history of more than 100 year. Good canteen and well established. Overall trying to be agile and moving into right direction.

Cons

Lacking vision and not adapting very well into the current situation although trying hard to be agile. Its product and offerings has almost not changed since last 10 yrs. Only recently it introduced KFZ insurance that was somewhat competitive. Biggest contra is a. Too much management and hiearchy (CIO..> Head of XX-->Abteilungs --> ReferatsLeiter.....) who basically produces no productive work. and slows down decision process b. Product is not competitive compared to competitors like HUK24. Not targeting right segment. c. Trying to build IT Product itself through Allianz Technology costing millions if not billions.

Pros

Decent salary. Some people are actually nice. That's all.

Cons

From management to HR, it's a sport to say one thing and do the other. Unbelievably unprofessional environment across the board, driven by people who just care to keep the status quo and fill their pockets in the meantime. Many highly incompetent people are put in leading positions, and have absolutely no clue on the actual business and topics they're dealing with, nor actual skills to healthily grow teams and the people in them. Time is relative and appointments are often not respected (and this is supposed to be Germany). IT infrastructure and support are simply a joke. HR systematically plays slimy tricks trying not to fulfil their obligations. I can go on with hundreds more bad things... really, stay away from these guys. Don't get initially fooled by cash and big smiles, as it will quickly backfire on your career and health.
