Pros

Being a data center tech is a really nice position in my opinion. You really have to know what youre getting yourself into before you go into it. It is physically demanding it is not like youre going to be sitting down all day. You will need to learn a lot of patterns in order to become really good at the job. Once you find those pattern then youll see how easy the job becomes. There can be times to work with those teams and that is important so that you become a position name across the site you may work at.

Cons

Some manager will hold you back from leaving Data Center Work and will only show you those opportunities. Constant changing of priories which conflict each other. Sometimes unreal goals to be met. Sometimes low pay even for high positions. No real way to get out of Data Center work unless meeting someone out side. Hard to network with anyone.
