Pros

Lots of room to grow. Amazon encourages employees to move up or even into other fields of work which is really great

Cons

Company is too big in my opinion. Managers 4 and 5 levels above my manager are making the decisions for my day to day work in the data center. Completely out of touch. Extremely inefficient in many ways. Most of my coworkers all feel the same way.

Pros

Very big company. Can lateral transfer to other team's globally. Great start to IT career.

Cons

Promotion tends to be based on frivolous ideas that seldom last. Negotiation for pay is none existent. Your level leaves little to no room for negotiations in most cases.
