Pros

Total comp was pretty good. Coworkers were great.

Cons

Lack of clear ownership Weeks upon weeks of war rooms to deal with the problems caused by so called pizza teams making decisions without thinking about the side effects of their decisions. Systems are fragile. Endless escalations. Endless status updates and dates for dates. No autonomy. The director level is definitely in charge. Design skills not used. It could have just been the group with whom I worked but I couldn't never take the chance again.

Pros

1. Excellent Leadership Principles. 2. Really suitable environment for a entrepreneurial mindset. 3. Lot of companies where I worked in the past talks about the culture of the company, but no one follows. Amazon does take culture seriously.

Cons

1. From outside Amazon looks like a Flat organization. But once you entered into it you will really see there is lot of ladders adding on top of you. 2. Constant organizational changes. 3. I felt like my manager is not ready to manage the L6 TPM's. He just moved from Amazon to AWS, I think there is different management styles btwn Amazon FC/Fresh to AWS. 4. Micro Management, again it depends on which team you're at.
