- 1 year contract for everyone to prolong the probation period unethically
- When a new hire joins the company, they ask team members to behave like they are happy to work for this place. Except for my team members, I saw really unhappy people and unsmiling faces.
- I joined the company as a Java Developer. Our team leader was a disrespectful, rude, incompetent and quick-tempered old man.
Although I was hired as a Java Developer, I was not assigned one single java development task for the first three months.
Instead, I was assigned configuration change and management and deployment tasks. A few days before the end of the probation period, the team leader suddenly told me that the director asked him very difficult questions about my performance and he told me that they didn't have a very optimistic conversation about my performance.
When I told him that I completed every single task successfully, he told me that every person is different and therefore the expectation is different. Afterwards, I was invited to a meeting during which the manager handed me over notice of termination. During the meeting, he told me that they didn't find me senior enough in development.
They basically didn't assign me one single development task during my employment and then they concluded that I was not senior and experienced enough in development(!)
- Based on the team leader's feedback, if you are a not Czech or German or at least not European, you should definitely stay away from this place if you can. There's definitely no equal treatment.
- After parting our ways, I started looking for a job. During one of the hiring processes, the company, which I had been interviewing, contacted Commerzbank and they gave very negative reference during my time at Commerzbank and caused me to miss a job opportunitiy.
