Pros

You get paid and you have a job at the end of the day until they sack you if you don’t act like a sheep.

Cons

It used to be a good company many years ago however it isn’t anymore. Some people sleep their way to top positions not giving others a chance. I have come across many managers who bully their team and sadly get away with it. The company itself does not care about keeping staff and are happy to let people go! They have lost most of their good workers.

Pros

Many delightful names thought up for the same initiatives under different management. Close to Poundstretcher and Morrisons. Long term staff are brilliant. Friends for life. Good pay, salary sacrifice benefits and holiday allowance.

Cons

Micromanaged. Frequently asked to explain why you were 2 minutes over on toilet breaks for the day in front of the rest of the team. Priority on taking calls at the expense of everything and everyone else. Dreadful work life balance. Not uncommon to be told point blank no to taking emergency time off, for example if your child is ill. Asked to get friends or family members to do parents job. Disregard of disabilities and health problems. If your face fits culture. Blatant favouritism with management. Treated like naughty children.

Pros

They do everything well in terms of market position, pay, benefits, holiday, staff support, aided development.

Cons

For me none. Can see some people that struggle to move from temp to perm but this isn't necessarily a reflection on the company.
