Pros

Home Goods sells appealing home decor, kitchen, bed and bath items at 20 to 60% off department and specialty store prices. Employees get 10% discount. Customers generally pleasant and other staff generally pleasant.

Cons

All training is on-the-job with nothing in writing about equipment, procedures, or pricing. Schedule changes week by week. Pay just above minimum wage for entry-level workers. Merchandise changes frequently. If a price tag is missing, cashiers are expected to go find something similar, rather than someone "on the floor" doing a price check.

Pros

My coworkers and a steady wpaycheck. And meeting some great people. The discount is nice.

Cons

This company likes to put all the work on its associates. Anything that’s grunt work or where you have to get your hands dirty. All they care about are pushing out those credit cards. I’ve seen some of the best employees quit because they’re burnt out and don’t get scheduled any hours. I don’t blame them. I’m looking for another job as I type this. My body hurts and I’m being abused physically and taken advantage of.
