Pros

Pay was somewhat decent. I was paid 14 dollars an hour. Which wasn’t that great. But could be worse

Cons

A lot of the time, I was the only cashier inside, besides lumber. Customer would often complain to me when there was a rush and i wasn’t able to check them all out fast enough. There would long lines and customers would sometimes yell and get impatient. Especially if I was checking out a large furniture order. The military discount was the worst. Because I was the only cashier, often times people had to use the self check out machines, and most people forgot/didn’t have a Lowe’s card. They couldn’t apply the military discount onto their purchase and so sometimes I had to start over and ring up again my own machine. Which caused the line, to become longer and people grew impatient. The Lowe’s credit card was absolutely horrible. They tried to get us sell those as much as possible. It was annoying and inconvenient. Being a woman here, was often uncomfortable. I often dealt with unwanted flirting and sometimes touching, not just from customers but from the other staff as well.

Pros

Remote, great starting pay for entry level remote. Team environment was the best part of the experience.

Cons

Very limited to no advancement opportunities with pay increases that don't even match cost of living increases. No HR support and the culture reflects that... not a company that has any flexibility in the way employees are handled when they make a mistake it stacks and is not removes for a year. If you have three mistakes even if they are in totally different areas they will terminate even tenured employees with otherwise perfect records. Not a way to keep good employees.
