Pros
Nokia is profitable and has large cash reserves. I found it a fantastic place to work and learn. The scale of the operation is phenomenal - especially the software organisation. I had no problem building a long career at Nokia. The benefits are very good - particularly compared to other US companies.
Cons
Working for a US operation headquartered in Finland can be tough when corporate decisions seem to be too far removed from the reality of your local market. Being large, this ship can be slow to turn - patience, persuasion and often travel to Finland are required to initiate important changes.
