      Pros

      Nokia was a wonderful large company to work for and they really valued their employees. Glad to see they hired Stephen Elop as new blood can be helpful.

      Cons

      Lack of a plan for approaching the American market adequately. Focused on low end phones and not enough imagination on high end devices.

      Pros

      Decent starting salary, good benefits, generous PTO

      Cons

      1% raises forever. Last promotion I got to Principal had no raise but a bump in bonus percentage. Now they are giving kids 8-12% raises and they have less than 5 yrs. Once you hit about 5 yrs you will get the 1% a yr and be pigeon holed into a specific job. Then good luck trying to change.
