Pros

Fair, respectful, decent wages, great coworkers, great leadership, healthy environment, friendly patients.

Cons

When issues do arise, the length of time it takes to get answers and allow anything to change or get corrected is quite a long time.... for instance, several weeks to months.

Pros

They have good benefits and the majority of people hired are wonderful. They have a good focus on community health with a sizable budget, which is rare in healthcare. They genuinely care about mental health.

Cons

My pay was based on my past experience that directly related to the job. Since I have a different background, I got offered a low pay rate to start. They didn't take into account my general experience from previous jobs that related to the position. Basically they used a formula and it didn't account for any of my previous experience. Providers are not well trained on how to deal with LGBTQIA+ folks, black, indigenous, or any other minority. I've heard some awful things said about patients who live at the poverty level and patients from the reservation. Their training on how to handle mental health issues is not adequate. Overall I'd say the most frustrating thing about working here is that we have a great community health department who understands these issues, but we get very little time in front of physicians to explain SDOH so they can better serve their patients. Also the structure is still a, get patients in and out the door as fast a possible, model.
