Pros

- You get a job. In this recession that's at least something - When you're placed you do form a social bond with other FDMers working in the same office as you

Cons

- You will NEVER get paid anywhere near as much as a normal IT contractor who does the same work as you (probably around 60% of what they earn at MOST) - Senior management and legal team take contract questions as threats and bully you into accepting their terms - You don't get paid whilst training, and the training itself is pretty substandard - You're forced to work for them for 2 years with the threat of legal action if you want to quit early - I've met my accounts manager 6 times now and the person still doesn't know my name

Pros

If you have no experience and can't get into a graduate scheme or company, then they will hire you.

Cons

They don't pay you. You only get paid if you are placed on client site which is dependent on the sales team. You get 2 weeks "training" but if you leave withing 2 years you will be expected to pay it back and considering the training it was marked up can't rember if it was 4k or 8k for a basic PM course that is £200 online. The training we received was someone teaching you things that and common sense like how to send an email or "handshaking" then a basic project management course. There was pressure to sign the contract and if you left after that you would be taken to court, this was read out on my second day to sacre people and pressure them. I left on day 3 as that was the time to sign but I seen lots of people who had been sitting in the office for months without being paid as they had no placement. Any company that does not pay you but expects you to come in everyday should be shut down.
