      Pros

      I have been with FDM for 1.5 years. The technical and professional skills training is relevant, the clients are high profile and the experience that I've had in two different roles so far is priceless. I couldn't have done this or received just valuable experience without FDM at this point in my career. I like the people at FDM and the sociable atmosphere.

      Cons

      The FDM model doesn't suit everyone. It suits people who are willing to meet FDM half way. By this I mean that FDM trains you and lines up the placement opportunities, but you will not succeed unless you also put in the effort to practice for the interviews and make a suitable impression. I think this is obvious - but have seen some fail due to a lack of effort on their part.

      Easy to get in You might get a temp job Gets you into a routine Central training locations

      Cons

      Us and them mentality if you are on the mountie scheme Training ( with no pay ) can go on for as long as FDM choose - regardless of whether you've run out of money Hard to get out with a £20k penalty if you go or are chucked out - which they seem to do for very minor transgressions Awful pay - impossible to get more because you can't leave No real prospects No job at the end of 2 years Negative environment
