Pros

Solid benefits for standard 401K & matching, healthcare and time off. They offer unique benefits if the company does well each quarter such as food trucks, massages or catered lunch. They also have music lessons for those interested and a stocked kitchen full of snacks. On the work side, if you like overseas Contract Manufacturing and trade shows, there are lots of opportuities to go to those in any role in the company. Sales team on site are solid and offer great insight of customer requirements and understanding of product. They also have a strong culture of encouraging engagement with customer in all roles so you end up meeting and getting to know alot of your customers both on thr job and at their home. You will genuinely understand your customer. In a small company you will learn alot by having many roles from marketing to engineering to quality. Also a con depending on perspective. They provide quarterly self reflection meetings with guest speakers as team building excercises. They invest in you if your interested in furthering education either formally for through certification programs. This companys values and culture is to serve the HVACR community. That mission is clear from your first day of work.

Cons

They keep and promote toxic people that are a cancer to the company and coworkers. For a small company this quickly demoralizes the team and new hires. Contract Manufacturing means you will be making video calls overseas alot, at all hours of the night and day troubleshooting problems. Small company means you will take on many roles. Expect to work with all departments and in many roles. Also a Pro depending on perspective. There is an ambition to grow and adopt big company design, sales, and leadership methodologies (albiet they are often outdated or not relavant to this industry or size of company) but this is done so without buy in from the team. Many lessons from consultants and speakers are quickly forgotten or willfully ignored especially by a few toxic co workers. The toxic coworkers, funny enough, get promoted by not having to come to work on site, work at any hours they please, show up to meetings late and have no consequences for bad behavior or bad attitude. The most toxic coworker will openly insult you and your colleagues in the middle of meeting in front of management after showing up late. All the benefits and pay in the world cannot compensate for having to work with people like this. Few core member from original fieldpiece company are still left that are a wealth of knowledge and experience. But there is major issues with retention from new hires.
