Pros

Money is alright considering you break your back to do 61 hours a week but then again what company won’t pay good for that many hours. Fixed hourly rate of 10.85.

Cons

This is different from a regular courier role, different as in there is literally no time to sit down, no time to eat, no time to even take off your helmet. On average I do about 200 deliveries per week and that’s with me being lazy sometimes and taking stops in between deliveries to warm my feet or to have a sip of water etc. This role requires you to be on your feet the whole shift as the device they give you to receive orders is expected to be online the whole shift. If that device is off it should only be off for toilet and lunch break. Breaks are not paid for. Also any other reason why it would be off you would get ur manager breathing down your neck asking why is it off, and also because your feet are cold isn’t good enough reason. In other words they expect you to work like a donkey. If you put it into perspective, if I did all them hours and deliveries on Uber-eats or deliveroo I would very possibly be on a 50k+ wage. This is not over exaggerated trust me ask any getir courier how many deliveries they do working full time. My main reason for writing this review- when it’s time for pay day. The payroll team are sleeping. They send payslips late even up to 2 days late. They get your hours wrong and your manager in the store will simply point to the bottom corner of the page and say “there’s the payroll teams email please email them” with the most sarcastic and patronising tone. You have no voice I.e. if something were to be wrong you wouldn’t know who to go to, at one point when my manager was so useless giving me the same email over and over again I felt I needed to go to head quarters and start a strike that’s how low I felt that no one would listen no emails would get responded to no matter the urgency whether you need rent to pay they don’t care. They just care about your device being online to receive orders. Not forgetting this is a new company so they are literally headless chicken from managers to franchise owners. Your best person of advice is yourself and your solicitor and a functional camera for evidence of negligence :)

Pros

Junior level colleagues. That’s it. I wouldn’t have been able to last as long as I did without them.

Cons

Where do I even start? Other than the disrespectful, sexist, nationalist CSuite. They claim to be about gender equality but always shorted women unless they were managers or higher. They had a group of elitists that work at the top that expected us to drop everything we were doing and literally bow down to them. We’d work before we go to the office at least an hour and still got in trouble for showing up at 9 am or leaving at 4 after all our work was done. What do we do? Sit and do nothing? They claim they aren’t nationalists but every time there was a layoff, they laid off only Americans and left all Turkish employees. At first it was a 3/5 days in office a week but changed it to 5 days a weeks even though juniors works 60 hours a week anyways but it was a threat because we all got laid off anyways. Also, why did some people get relocation and others not? I moved from a different state and got not a dollar. A quote from the CEO during a company wide meeting: Why would you want to hop around from job to job? It’s like hopping around from man to man. Every single director with an exception to a couple, was power hungry and did not value their employees - they truly just enjoyed the fact that they were above others. Kindly re-evaluate the way you speak to others that work hard for you! And everyone in general. How embarrassing

Pros

Very few, but good healthcare package and direct coworkers were positive.

Cons

Mandatory work days w/ hours after being told it was flexible hybrid upon being hired. Clear there is a lack of trust with employees to do their jobs. Very unclear objectives with very poor leadership team. Very poor moral which the people team has no intention to fix and instead intend to let people quit. Expect you to sell yourself to the company but will get rid of you regardless of your contribution if you question leadership initiatives even if there is strategic thought behind your question. TLDR: do whatever you are told, don’t ask questions, don’t collaborate, don’t waste your breath trying to improve company trajectory.
