Although Getir claims to be a pioneer in the fast delivery space and many others, the way they conduct business will have you believe you're watching a middle eastern and sh*tty version of Succession. Almost all decisions are derived from a single person's mouth and it does show in the work process' in all departments. The company treats their valuable employees from almost all teams as If they're replaceable but it is a FACT that this approach (and the sub-par salaries they give out as if it's just charity) is the cause of massive employee turnovers and a lack of consistency in internal-external team relationships, product management, design and development. Imagine you've spent weeks on a new user flow, tens of new pages, components, new designs... You find yourself thinking 'Who am I designing this for?'. You require some insight but guess what, there's very little because the research team is swamped with projects trying to justify another new flow / design. Speaking of insight, there's almost no care for real user / consumer insight. It's always thought of when there's a topic that the management team wants answered, in the last minute... 'Yeah so we've got designers to design this new flow but let's ask users what they think.'. Sure, but why is research thought of in the very last step just before the designs are about to be presented to the C-level management? Trying to bring the real user needs into focus is impossible, although there's a hunger for more knowledge the working conditions and process' don't provide a healthy environment for real improvement, progress and innovation.
