Pros

The ability to work remotely, at home with non-scheduled hours....therefore, there is a great work / life balance!! This is the best work at home opportunity that I have found that is truly legitimate!!! The salary and PTO are above average, as well as the amount of paid holidays that are offered to part time employees as well as full time employees. Career advancement is huge since this is a start-up company that is growing rapidly. Management is approachable and willing to help grow and advance employee careers. Also, often times we are asked for our opinions to help improve the experience of glassdoor.com for the user....it makes me feel like management respects my opinon. Finally, I have found that it is fun reading about other people's experiences all day....sometimes I forget that I am actually working!!

Cons

I guess the biggest thing would be working 7 days a week to keep up with all of the data. Also, the work can be monotonous somedays doing the same "type" of analyzing for hours on end. Sometimes working remotely causes a lack of communication and a lack of team feeling. There is also not alot of feedback about job performance because of the lack of daily interaction with management. Finally, working from home is great, but not seeing other people can sometimes make you crazy!!!!

Pros

- the GTM co-workers are some of the best around - amazing remote-first culture, very inclusive and no micro-managing - You get to work with clients to instill real change at a company and industry level. it goes a long way in providing purpose to our jobs - very heavy focus on supporting DEI internally, which is AWESOME! - lots of opportunity to give feedback

Cons

- like most companies effected in the last 3 years, Glassdoor is grasping for a way to stay relevant in the market. Evolution and change is hard and the path forward hasn't been clear. - Pay is average at best. There has been a lot of changes to the compensation model in the last year with inadequate transparency around it. - Lots of turnover in mid to senior level management resulting in slow or halted progress internally - The partnership with Indeed is VERY messy and it often times feels as though Indeed is in the drivers seat for Glassdoor's future.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback and the details provided. I say this all the time, but getting this sort of insight from you & our team is invaluable! Admittedly, I have to agree that our colleagues in GTM are some of the best out there. We all put so much time and effort into our culture, inclusivity and making work meaningful, it's great to see folks feel the same. In regards to our close working relationship with Indeed: I hear you. I believe we've made some incredible improvements to how we partner (big shout out to our leaders, Ops Teams, etc.) -- but there is always room to get better. If you have ideas and suggestions around how we can be more transparent from the top down, please know my door is always open, I'd love to hear from you! - Brett Runyan, VP of GTM
