Pros

- The people and the mid level people leaders really are phenomenal so it is super hard to match the culture of this amazing org in GTM

Cons

- Senior Leadership: too many to name but the fact some of them still have a job when they wiped out most of GTM is embarrassing.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. It’s wonderful to hear how much you valued the people and mid-level leaders who built such a strong GTM culture. That spirit remains one of our greatest strengths. Many of those leaders have since moved on, and I’m grateful for the lasting contributions they made in shaping a team and culture we’re proud of. I also recognize the frustration around the recent changes. Your feedback underscores how important it is that we protect the culture and talent that make Glassdoor special as we move forward. - Owen Humphries | President, Glassdoor

Pros

Like many companies that are mission driven, it was good (even great) until it wasn't. C-suite & the board took big risks and they didn't pay off. Great culture, great promotion path, great benefits and great mission. I assume all this will disappear under the new name.

Cons

The writing was on the wall for a long time and unfortunately the inevitable came to fruition. Gobbled up by greed and bad bets. Since 2016 we lost a lot of great leaders over the years and unfortunately were left with those with short sightedness and poor decision making.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. As Chief Product Officer, I’m grateful for your recognition of the culture, career growth, and mission that have defined our journey. I also acknowledge the disappointment you’ve expressed regarding past decisions and the changes ahead. While transitions like these are never easy, our focus remains on building products and experiences that genuinely serve our customers and employees. Your input about aligning our efforts with what people truly care about is well taken and will help guide our next chapter. - Andy Chen | SVP, Product, CPO, Glassdoor

Pros

The company has a strong global presence and brand. Opportunities to work on meaningful projects across functions. Some teams support innovation and continuous improvement.

Cons

Leadership style within the HR function tends to reward people who say “yes” over those who challenge the status quo or bring innovative ideas. There is limited room for differing views, which can stifle collaboration and critical thinking. Employees seeking sponsorship or strategic exposure may find advancement challenging due to internal politics and inconsistent leadership behaviors. There have been significant leadership changes in the HR function over the past few years, with high turnover in HR. Despite these challenges, some HR leaders have continued to advance, raising questions about how leadership effectiveness and team health are evaluated. Overall, there’s a pattern of rewarding political behavior over people leadership. This has discouraged open dialogue, innovation, and psychological safety. Employees who speak up or think differently may find their reputations quietly undermined, which limits internal mobility and visibility. More attention to team morale and fair advancement practices could significantly strengthen organizational outcomes.
