Pros

Work from home, unlimited PTO, good benefits

Cons

3 CEOs in 1 year, high-level strategy and direction changes quarterly - if not monthly, very political, HR is irrelevant and allows toxic management practices, almost entire company turned over in last few years, equity firm only focusing on most profitable products that shouldn't even be in market to make company look better for upcoming sale, everyone burnt out.

First, we appreciate your candor and want to acknowledge any frustrations. While we can’t speak to the specifics of your experience, we believe some sentences in your post require context. Mike Kohlsdorf, President of Francisco Partners – one of the largest technology focused private equity firms in the world – succeeded Bill Wagner as CEO in January of 2022. Then, in August 2022, Paddy Srinivasan was promoted from Chief Product and Technology Officer to CEO. Mike Kohlsdorf remains on the Board. We regularly update our blog with any relevant news and information. Statements around strategy and direction can be clarified in those publications, including public-facing objectives with products and services. Many tech companies emerging out of the pandemic experienced higher than normal turnover (dubbed the Great Resignation.) Still, plenty of GoGetters hold impressive tenures, over 330 new GoGetters between January and August 2022 were referrals, and over 40 GoGetters in 2022 were Boomerangs – employees who left and then came back to GoTo! A testament to our culture. Since we cannot speak to the specifics of your experience, we hope you were able to share some of your concerns in our recent engagement survey. Incompetent Senior Leadership

Pros

Great work life balance. Benefits are mostly good. Some departments that haven't yet been traumatized by layoff waves directly are still somewhat intact, productive and innovative.

Cons

Yearly gigantic layoff rounds (with no transparency, you just discover that whole teams you are working with are suddenly gone), outsourcing to incompetent contractors, offshoring to Hungary and India (and not hiring expensive top talent there either but going for cheap labor). Below industry average compensation (used to be ok in the past but declined due to stock compensation running out after company went private). Lack of innovation and lack of investment. The worst IT policies I've ever seen anywhere. You spend tens of minutes per day going through the same tedious super slow login flow. Lots of usage of Microsoft products like SharePoint and Office. If you like working at a bank the work setup might be for you.

Your colleagues around the world, including India and Hungary, are incredibly talented. They also deserve to be seen as top talent. Our digital workplace team works incredibly hard to optimize the employee experience and productivity. They deliver technology solutions that empower an efficient and resilient, remote-centric workforce. We always want to improve, and you’ve pointed to many places we can do that. Company Not Progressive

Pros

The people in the local office, amazing! Most came from an acquisition. Hard working, dedicated, loyal and a real start up mentally to get it done. There was appreciation for my many accomplishments and the value of my leadership skills and style by others outside my department. Which kept me motivated to want more for myself and my team.

Cons

Executive leadership set in their ways and very biased. Not willing to accept or embrace the need for change or recognize their lack of diversity in hiring. They make decisions without recognizing consequences and have no idea what is going on outside of headquarters or closer to the front line.
