      Diversified and global organization with great benefits

      Pros

      Diversified organization enables many job-growth opportunities for advancement. Honeywell offers leadership and personal development courses to all employees. I find the opportunities to be product specfic or product wide knowledge always challenging to my career-path. Innovation attempts are paramount to success.

      Cons

      Diversified organizations or global companies are to slow to respond to emerging technologies in their space. New techologies are slow in the pipe line to emerge to the marketplace. Honeywell does however place great importance on new product development. The challenge to keep new porducts portfollio constantly updated and new products to the marketplace . Consumers or B2B want innovation in a timely fashion

      Pros

      For those who like technical challenges there are sometimes a few of those to keep you busy for a day or two.

      Cons

      Too much of a bureaucracy making it hard to get things done in a timely manner. Being tightly interwined with the government adds to this problem.

      Pros

      Diversity of products and platforms. Majority of employees are knowledgeable and good at what they do. Quality of people is excellent even though the teamwork can be improved at times. Compensation is above the industry average.

      Cons

      Bureaucracy and lack of collaboration. Can be territorial at times among managers and factions within the organization. Not much focus on professional development. The major reorganization by Rob Gillette was needed but has led to poor morale and a loss of A players across the company. Overall- the company is slow to respond to the market which led to essentially no work on the 787.
