      Pros

      Before coming to HubSpot, I thought that there was no way a company could be this great. But it is. The combination of flexibility, autonomy, awesome coworkers, awesome management, and clearly-defined promotional paths is just the tip of the iceberg. Going deeper, you'll find a stable, people-first culture that makes this whole thing work. Working at HubSpot was the best decision that I ever made.

      Cons

      The pay is a little lower than the industry, but it's worth it when you look at the perks. I'll take slightly lower pay at an awesome company with amazing perks over the reverse any day.

      Pros

      Incredible growth opportunities for individual contributors. Proper mentoring and continuous feedback to set employees for success. Transparent and positive working culture to keep employees engaged and motivated to achieve more. Did I forget to mention about our unlimited vacations policy? No complaints thus far!

      Cons

      The bar is set very high and everyone is expected to either meet or exceed expectations. A lot of emphasis on achieving results which are clearly defined on a quarterly basis.

      Pros

      I've been working at HubSpot for nearly 5 years, and came to Australia to set up our Sydney office in July 2014. Over the past two years, I've had the privilege to interview and onboard a high percentage of our current ~45 person team. Each new SydSpotter brings a fresh perspective, and adds to the culture which we are constantly evolving. Having worked in the Dublin & Cambridge offices, I'm lucky to have a benchmark for how Sydney is going comparatively to the other offices. In many ways we operate autonomously as a startup, but with massive support, guidance (and requisite performance expectations) from HQ and our APAC head office in Singapore. HubSpot (globally) is a very special place where I've had the chance to massively develop my career while helping others do the same. Oh, and the product is also amazing/improving everyday.

      Cons

      1. There simply aren't enough hours in the day to do what we have the potential to achieve in ANZ. 2. We run out of bananas in the kitchen, occasionally.
