Pros

Everything is amazingly transparent and the culture is incredible. By no means does it feel like an 1800 person company. If you do your job, the flexibility and autonomy they give you is absolutely amazing. Your ability to grow here is unsurpassed - between everything they do internally to how they cut you a check for 5k each year to go out and take classes.

Cons

Monthly quota can tire you out but if you're able to build out a good system, it really blends together and doesn't end up being too much of an issue.

Sorry I'm behind on responding here--thanks for writing this up and for your feedback on growing your career in sales at HubSpot! I agree with monthly quota--it can feel intense but a systematic approach can help minimize the stress, and hopefully the install base opportunities will help offset some of that stress and solve for our customers long-term. We'll do our best to keep you proud on the hiring front--thanks for all you do to help our prospects and customers! Sincerely, Katie

Pros

- Smart, authentic and transparent leadership - A strong product that is always evolving - the marketing product really slowed down for a few years but the current work to take customer feedback seriously and future-proof is impressive - We get to solve for the mid market and SMBs. This is so much more interesting than chasing enterprises or being beholden to large customers. We can make a real impact on our customers businesses - Employee onboarding and training is taken very seriously - you are given what you need to succeed - We have real functions outside of the US (product, BI, legal, operations) - this is rare! - If you have a case to make and have the data and logic to back it up you can get access to whoever you need to make a change. People are accessible.

Cons

- If you don't want to give and receive feedback (good and bad) constantly then it's not the place for you - you can't be sensitive or take things personally - not really a con for me but be aware. - Need to do a better job at setting expectations around career growth and putting people in the drivers seat. We can pander a little bit to much to every piece of feedback - It's become increasingly difficult to execute a new idea quickly - BET, systems and reporting are slow and very centralized. I understand they have so many competing project and priorities and I'm confident we will get to a better place but this makes true autonomy difficult

I think there's a lot of great feedback in here, thank you for taking the time to share it. I would echo your sentiment around the excitement of the mid-market and SMB space and the quality and sphere of work our team in Dublin is giving (which of course continues to grow). I couldn't agree more on career growth--we've associated growth with promotion and need to do a better job pushing back a bit there. So much of that requires the thoughtful feedback you outlined in your previous bullet--we'll continue to make progress and I hope make you proud there. We are at our off-site attempting to execute on your final advice (short term execution, long term future proofing), so thanks for the push there and for all you're doing to help Dublin's team grow and thrive. -Katie

Pros

I genuinely enjoy working with everyone on my team. I have autonomy in my work, schedule, and I feel fully supported by my manager. Lots of opportunity for career development.

Cons

I wish there was more of a clear path to advancement for my current role. Sometimes the upper management says they will do things or make something more clear but then it doesn't happen.

Glad to hear you feel the support and love the autonomy you get. On advancement, hopefully your manager is providing you with ideas for how to grow (in role or otherwise) and the resources we've invested in career growth and LearnerLoop will help move the needle there, but if you have specific feedback or thoughts, feel free to send them my way--happy to discuss in person. Thanks for growing your career at HubSpot! -Katie
