      Best software employer in Dublin

      Pros

      Unlike a lot of other bigger companies, HubSpot has a product & engineering team in Dublin that does real work. Core components of their business are developed here--it's not just some satellite office that does reliability. They have very good pay, good benefits, a very nice office, and just an all-round great team here.

      Cons

      Ever since it's gone public and as the company has grown, a little bit of corporate-ness is creeping in. The "startup" feeling is slowly leaving the company. People are in place to try to combat that, but there's a limit to how much they can really do.

      Thank you for the thoughtful review (and for letting me sit with the engineering team today in Dublin!)--I would agree we are lucky to have a product team in Dublin that does work on core products for our customers that are truly leading the way, and that the team is incredible all around. I'm sorry to hear you are feeling a bit of corporate-ness--I've heard that with regard to some of the food options, but if there are other specific examples that come to mind, send them my way. It's a bit hard for us to identify what "feels" corporate to folks so any specificity you're willing to send or share is helpful. Most importantly, thanks for helping us build products that have a huge impact on our customers as we scale--we are so proud to have such an incredible team in Dublin, thank you for being a critical piece of it!       Great place to learn and grow

      Pros

      There are a lot of modern technologies being used here, and lots of people that are very knowledgeable to learn from. There's minimal overhead in the develop-test-release cycle. Career growth is something that's actively discussed between managers and team members. Company culture is something that's at the forefront of people's minds; people want to make this a great place to work.

      Cons

      Due to the autonomy given to teams, things can sometimes seem disorganized, or the same problem may be solved two different ways by two different teams.

      This is a super thoughtful review, thanks for sharing it--I love that you said people want to make this a great place to work because it's hard to explain to folks just how many leaders here are focused on making it great, and how much all of our employees care about getting it right, so I'm glad to hear you feel that. I agree with you that autonomy can sometimes lead to some overlap and frustration--it's a really hard problem to tackle, so I welcome ideas on how we can do it better as we scale if you want to chat in person.
