Pros

The people you work with are incredibly talented, fun to be around, and humble. There are alot of perks to working at HubSpot, but at the end of the day it's a great place to work because of the great people who work there.

Cons

You work with some of the best people in their industry. This means that the expectations are set extremely high, which can be disheartening if you're just starting out your career like I have.

Pros

The culture. I fully admit to drinking the Kool-Aid but darn, it's tasty and refreshing. "Use good judgment" really does cover most of our policies here. It's empowering and simultaneously encourages employees to really think about their actions. The people. They're smart, motivated, humble, and overall a great group. I joined HubSpot over two years ago with the promise of learning more than I had at any previous job, and I am still learning a ton. The perks. They keep getting better and better.

Cons

I feel disconnected from the non-engineering parts of the company. Within engineering things can be quirky/dysfunctional and if you can't adapt to the kind-of-weird ways we work (or have the moxie to effect the change you want to see) then you will not last long.

Pros

- Resume stamp of approval - Everyone knows HubSpot in Boston - Lots of really smart, driven, and interesting people - You'll learn a ton about startups and build connections around Boston - Inbound marketing really is the future. - #GSD culture

Cons

- forced culture as they started to scale - absolutely no competence in middle management - lots of politics - favoritism - jerk attitude at times that makes you feel like what you're doing isn't worth anything - too many software rewrites - feature overloaded product
