Pros
Some of the people are talented and good to work with. If you can get on one of the few IR&D projects, the work is interesting.
Cons
The company does not spend enough on IR&D. Doesn't seem to have a long term vision. The defense industry is contracting. Product line is too narrow. When a contract ends, a layoff begins. Management doesn't follow the published values that the workers are required to follow. I heard on a PBS show that great places to work allow employees to voice their opinion. ITT punishes employees who voice their opinion. Want senior engineers to work unpaid overtime. They even have a document that states this. Too many middle managers who only seem to attend meetings.
